Shockwave therapy

This is a non-invasive low risk procedure that can help a number of conditions, such as tendinopathies and calcification.

The Shockwave devices uses high pressure and high frequency in the
treatment of chronic muscular and tendon disorders, back and neck pain.

It has NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) approval for treating Achilles and Patella tendinopathy and plantar fasciopathy)

It is thought to work through a number of mechanisms, including inhibiting pain signals, increasing cellular metabolism and improving blood flow to encourage healing.
